We celebrate the start of the new year with a bang. The first webinar is  “CRITICAL RADAR TRANSMITTER MEASUREMENTS ENSURE RANGE MAXIMIZATION” which will be held on Thursday 30 January at 15:00 CET. A recording will be shared with registrants.

 

Since the first radar was patented in 1904, there has been a lot of development in the following 120 years. Since 1980’s, solid state amplifiers were popular, but recently, GaN technologies are taking over as these provide higher power densities. GaN transistors have a wider bandgap and a greater tolerance at higher temperatures than GaAs devices. However, when used in radar applications, particularly those using longer pulses such as pulse compression systems with linear or non-linear FM, power droop can be a problem.

 

During this joint webinar of Maury Microwave and Hitech RF & Microwave solutions, we will discuss what causes these issues and how to measure this accurately.
